Welcome to Building Bridges!

Building Bridges was created by Remi Freeman, a licensed social worker, who has worked with our local autistic population for over 10 years of her career. By utilizing research and data, her own vast experience, as well as listening to the needs of parents, Remi has targeted a social skills program to aide these children. Social skills will be taught and practiced each week in a fun, play environment.  Your children will enjoy coming to Building Bridges and will leave this program having made friends.

The ultimate goal of this program is for your child to walk away with at least one new friend; someone to look forward to seeing each week, talking to and playing with.

Building Bridges also concentrates on providing a networking system for parents while meeting the social and behavioral needs of the children in a friendly, fun “play” environment mediated by 1 ABA trained instructor and a trained volunteer.  During the social skills sessions, parents will be offered the opportunity to meet each other, network and exchange list of resources..

It is our greatest joy to serve you and your children.  Thank you –Remi Freeman, L.S.W.

To schedule an in-take appointment please call Remi Freeman at 215/740-4201

We look forward to meeting you!

What You Can Expect From The In-Take Appointment!

In attendance will be at least 1 parent, the child and Remi Freeman (who conducts all in-takes).  This is an informal assessment of your child, his/her speech pattern, interest in attending the group, motivation to take part in the group and what you and child are looking to get from the group.  Mostly, this will allow us to review particular issues which need to be worked upon.  This time also allows Building Bridges with the opportunity of meeting your child to make sure he/she is placed into the most appropriate group in order to obtain the greatest success possible.

For the intake appointment you will need:

    1)  YOUR insurance card

    2)  The completed enrollment application which you can download from this web site

    3)  The fee for the In-take appointment $350.00

Does Building Bridges Accept Insurance?

No, I’m sorry we do not.  The fee is $350 for the 4 month session.  Upon paying the fee, you are provided with a completed receipt with procedure codes, NPI # and EIN #.  You may do 2 things with this receipt.
  1. You may submit your receipt to your insurance company and accept any reimbursement they may offer.  You should contact your insurance company first to see what your reimbursement for an “out of network provider” is.
  2. Whatever is NOT reimbursed, can be written off under Medical on your taxes.  Keep your receipt for that purpose.
