Our Mission Statement-

Our mission is to help your child make a friend.  That’s it.  One friend!  If you have one true friend then you have everything.  We promise to respect your children and will do everything possible to make them feel special for simply who they are.  Building Bridges staff will see your child’s strengths BEFORE their weakness and use these strengths to help forge peer friendships.  By the time your child has completed a session, we hope to have helped create a relationship that exceeds our office and carries into their lives.

Who would benefit?

ANYONE!  Anyone who has difficulties understanding and/or displaying appropriate social skills will benefit from attending these sessions.  1 out of every 150 children is diagnosed with autism every year.  This number is excruciatingly   high and yet so little seems to be available to help these children learn and practice their social skills.  This group was created to fill in that gap.  Furthermore, children diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, ODD, a depressive disorder or someone who suffers with poor esteem can benefit as well.  Children need to learn and practice these skills in a friendly, fun-centered environment, mediated by trained professionals, where success is promoted.   That is exactly what Building Bridges has to offer!
